Make a Difference by Participating in a Clean Up Operation Today

I have engaged in a massive clean up operation this holiday season. I am used to cleaning as I worked in tank cleaning services in the past, and there's something satisfying about cleaning that I love. Anyway, for this particular clean up, I got a group of friends together to clean up the local parklands. We started around 6am on Saturday morning. A few of us had hangovers however we managed to cope. Within a few hours we had filled piles of rubbish bags. I get rather upset when I find plastic bags as they can cause terrific damage to marine life. We also found a smart phone. Fortunately the owner came back for it. He was extremely grateful that we had found it. He was nice enough to cart away some of the rubbish in his truck. We decided to continue our clean up operation the following day. At the end of it we were worn out. I think we need more bins in parks and people should feel ashamed of themselves if they want to litter. They are damaging the environment and should start to care. We plan to have another clean up operation after the holiday period. There will probably be twice as much rubbish to pick up.
