Why at times a black berry phone will not connect to the internet

In my junior of college, my friends and I got in to a lot of trouble that earned us a visit to the dean. Since we were honor students, we were not put in to probation nor were we suspended or worse expelled from college. The dean made us do community service for that whole school year so that we can evaluate our position in life. The dean was very disappointed in us and could not believe that we could be that irresponsible and pull a stunt like that. So we were supposed to do our community service at a home of the elderly people. The first few days, we went with our ipods and black berry phones so that we could kill the bore dome. The problem is that we could not a find a way on how to connect blackberry to wifi. We tried several times but we could not do it because there was no internet connection in that area that our phones could connect to. No wonder the dean had chosen that one particular home. So we had to actually interact with the older folks and it was not that hard. It was a very good experience because those folks were so hilarious and interesting in that every time we went there, we would laugh all the time.
