The government has done a lot to improve education standards all over the country this includes initiatives to step up the enrollment numbers for both boys and girls. This so far has proved to be a positive step yielding positive results. There’s more success in store but it comes gradually. There has been disparity between the schools for example private and public. That’s why the government has stepped in to create a level playing field for all participants in the education sector by issuing out grants for urban schools because from an audit report, they appeared to be the least funded institutions of learning. This will also impact on the quality of education being provided for there will be availability of equipments and books, stocking of libraries and so forth. Also this move will uplift the morale of the students and teachers thereby improving the results and like earlier stated improve the intake of students from the community. If theses steps are applied in most areas we will find the standard of education improving, the economy will improve, and overall the general well being of the nation will be better.
